The diesel engine is much larger than the gasoline engine, and a large amount of carbon deposits will be formed during the combustion process, which has higher requirements for the cleaning performance of the lubricating oil, so as to be able to clean the carbon deposits quickly to ensure the normal operation of the diesel engine.


Therefore, the diesel engine oil used by the diesel engine and the gasoline engine oil used by the gasoline engine are not the same, and the quality grade of the gasoline engine oil is greater than the diesel oil.


Different viscosity


In general, diesel engine oil with the same viscosity level is more viscous than gasoline oil, and the number before w is larger.

2, increase the wear of low temperature start: the oil viscosity is too large, the engine starts at low temperature when the oil is too slow, especially in the cold climate. At this time, although the oil pressure is high, the pumping performance of the oil is poor, and dry friction will occur, and dry friction is the main reason for engine wear.


Different additives


The same volume of diesel engine oil contains more additives, because the diesel engine produces more smoke bags in the combustion, combustion byproducts more, then it requires more cleaning dispersants, this additive has many roles, but the main role has two: to neutralize the acid, clean the engine inside.


Diesel oil more antioxidants: the sulfur content of diesel fuel is larger than gasoline, sulfur combustion will produce sulfuric acid and sulfite, along with high temperature and high pressure waste gas into the oil pan, more additives to prevent oil failure too fast. If there is acid gas into, can play a certain role in the neutralization, and gasoline oil in this respect is not so strict requirements.


The compression ratio of the diesel engine is more than 2 times that of the gasoline engine, and the parts are subject to high temperature, high pressure, and the impact is much larger than that of the gasoline engine, so the production materials of some parts are different, and the corrosion resistance of different materials is not the same, and ultimately the amount of anti-corrosion additives is not the same.


Different exhaust system


Diesel engines and gasoline engines have different catalytic exhaust purifiers. Diesel engine oil has added more anti-wear agents, generally ZDDP, so the emissions of diesel engines have higher requirements for the purifier, and the purifier of the diesel engine has been specially treated to deal with this problem. If the diesel engine oil is used in the gasoline machine, it will cause problems for the exhaust purifier of the gasoline engine.
